We understand that privacy is important, and while there are certain limitations to what can be hidden, we offer several ways to help protect your information when registering for events. Here are the options available to maintain your privacy:
Hiding Your Results
If you prefer to keep your race results private, you have the option to block your results page entirely. Please note:
- Blocking your results: This will hide your results from everyone, including yourself. This action prevents anyone from viewing your race history and planned races on our platform.
- Alias Option: If you'd like to keep your results visible, but prefer not to use your real name, we recommend adjusting your name or creating an alias. This allows your results to appear under the alias instead of your actual name.
Please contact the support team for assistance.
Blocking Your Upcoming Calendar
To prevent others from knowing what races you will participate in:
- Hide Upcoming Calendar: You can choose to block your upcoming race schedule from being displayed on your public profile. Keep in mind, this will also hide your upcoming events from your view as well.
Please contact the support team for assistance.
Entrant Lists
Unfortunately, entrant lists for races are public if the race director has chosen to make them visible. These lists are typically displayed for transparency and to show who is participating in each event. While we cannot hide these lists, here are some options to maintain privacy:
- Public Nature of Entrant Lists: If you prefer not to use your real name, you can register with an alias. This will display under your alias on the entrant list and in race results. These lists are part of the event's public records and are expected to be visible to participants and event organizers. If you wish to avoid having your real name listed, using an alias may be your best option.
Summary of Options
- Visibility and Blocking:
- Block your results page (hidden to everyone, including you).
- Block your upcoming calendar to hide future events.
- Entrant Lists:
- Entrant lists for public events cannot be hidden if the race director has made them visible.
- You can use an alias to register and protect your identity in public lists and results.
By adjusting these settings, you can maintain greater privacy while still participating in races and events on our platform. If you have any further questions or need assistance setting this up, feel free to reach out!
